TechFlow news: Sui Bridge has now integrated Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), enabling users to transfer native USDC stablecoins between Sui and eight other blockchains. This integration enhances the functionality of Sui Bridge, making USDC transfers more efficient.
CCTP supports secure one-to-one USDC transfers between Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Noble, OP Mainnet, Polygon PoS, and Solana, with newly added support for Sui. Users only need to pay transaction fees on the source and destination chains when transferring USDC across chains. CCTP completes transfers by burning USDC on the source chain and minting new USDC on the destination chain. Since USDC is pegged to the U.S. dollar, no currency conversion is required.
Sui Bridge launched in September this year as Sui’s native cross-chain bridge, initially supporting transfers between SUI and ETH. By integrating CCTP into Sui Bridge, users can now complete asset transfers within a single platform, further enhancing cross-chain interoperability.
