TechFlow news, December 18 — According to Cointelegraph, a recent Emerson College poll found that approximately one in five American voters (19%) said they have at some point invested in, traded, or used cryptocurrency. The survey, conducted from December 11 to December 13 among 1,000 registered voters, revealed that nearly 40% of respondents who use cryptocurrency have also used it for purchases.
"Cryptocurrency users are younger and more racially diverse, highlighting that crypto is a growing and diverse political constituency," said Spencer Kimball, executive director of the poll. "57% of cryptocurrency users hold a favorable view of Donald Trump."
The survey also showed that respondents under 40 make up the largest share of cryptocurrency users, with nearly one-third having used cryptocurrency. This proportion declines with age: 28% of voters in their 40s, 17% in their 50s, 9% in their 60s, and only 4% of those aged 70 and above.
