Under the procedure, after the impeachment motion is approved by the National Assembly, it will be submitted to the Constitutional Court for review, a process that could take up to 180 days. During this period, Yoon Suk-yeol will be suspended from presidential duties, with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo assuming acting presidential powers. If Han Duck-soo is suspended due to an impeachment motion initiated by opposition parties, Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang-mok will assume acting presidential and prime ministerial authority.
