TechFlow news, on December 12, Virtuals Protocol, the ownership layer protocol for AI Agents on Base chain, announced: "We have identified an edge case where developers using certain third-party lock-up pre-bound agent tokens could access their tokens post-binding without actually locking them. Please note that all funds are safe. We thank the community member who reported this issue, to whom we have awarded a $10,000 bounty."
Virtuals Protocol stated it is developing a permanent solution. In the meantime, builders wishing to lock tokens prior to binding can send their tokens to the vault (standard 6-month lock after binding) to achieve token locking.
