TechFlow news, December 10 — Bryan Chen (@PrimordialAA), co-founder of cross-chain interoperability protocol LayerZero, confirmed during a recent presentation that LayerZero will hold its first protocol fee switch referendum on December 19. According to the ZRO token mechanism, a blockchain-based vote will occur every six months, allowing ZRO holders to decide whether to activate the protocol fee switch. If activated, LayerZero will charge fees equivalent to the total cost of verifying and executing cross-chain messages.
