TechFlow News, December 10 — According to an official announcement, Tether has announced that its stablecoin USDT has been recognized as an "Acceptable Virtual Asset" (AVA) by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This recognition covers USDT on three major blockchains: Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that this milestone not only validates the importance of stablecoins as a key instrument in modern finance but also opens new opportunities for collaboration and growth in the Middle East. Since 2022, cryptocurrency adoption in the UAE has significantly increased, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai emerging as leading global hubs for crypto innovation and blockchain technology.
