TechFlow news — On December 10, according to CoinDesk, Relai, a Swiss Bitcoin trading and self-custody app, has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Ego Death Capital, a Bitcoin-focused venture fund investing $4 million, with participation from Plan B Bitcoin Fund, Timechain, and Solit Group.
Julian Liniger, CEO of Relai, said the round was oversubscribed despite challenging market conditions. The Relai app has surpassed 400,000 downloads. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its operations across Europe and apply for a license under the EU's MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulatory framework.
