TechFlow news, on December 10, Charmaine Lim, VIP Customer Service Director at Huobi HTX, was invited to attend Bitcoin MENA, where she participated in a panel discussion titled "Improving Access to Bitcoin in The UAE." She noted that since 2015, the UAE has made significant progress in promoting the adoption of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. However, challenges remain, including cautious banking policies toward crypto transactions, insufficient public education about cryptocurrencies, and complex, evolving regulatory frameworks, all of which continue to hinder the growth of the cryptocurrency industry in the UAE.
Charmaine emphasized that Huobi HTX places great importance on the UAE market. Currently, Huobi HTX has obtained preliminary licensing from the UAE's VARA authority and is actively applying for an upgrade to a full license. Meanwhile, the company is working closely with local banks to establish more direct fiat-to-crypto transaction channels. Additionally, through Huobi Live and online webinars, it will provide global users with educational opportunities on topics such as crypto trading, storage, and security. The platform also continues enhancing language support, including Arabic, to improve user experience.
