TechFlow news, December 9 — According to Cryptoslate, Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano (ADA), has again called for social media platforms to implement a "verified tweet" feature following a hack of the official Cardano Foundation X account. On December 8, hackers used the compromised account to post false information about an ADASOL token and spread misinformation claiming that ADA support had been suspended due to an SEC lawsuit.
Hoskinson suggested enhancing platform security through technologies such as public-key encryption and biometric authentication, and stated that members of the Cardano community would cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation. This proposal dates back to 2020, aiming to verify user identities using biometric methods like fingerprint or facial recognition.
Previous report: The official X account of the Cardano Foundation was compromised, with attackers posting false claims that the foundation was sued by the SEC and would cease support for the ADA token.
