TechFlow news, December 3 — According to The Block, early-stage investment firm Portal Ventures has announced support for sBTC, a 1:1 Bitcoin-backed programmable asset built on Stacks. The firm plans to launch a series of workshops to educate institutional investors on sBTC's role in enhancing Bitcoin capital efficiency.
Portal Ventures recently closed its second fund at $75 million, with backers including Chris Dixon, Marc Andreessen, Henry Kravis, and prominent institutions such as Accolade and Theta. As one of the earliest supporters of the Stacks ecosystem, Portal Ventures partner Catrina Wang stated that sBTC will serve as a critical bridge connecting Bitcoin and the DeFi ecosystem.
