TechFlow news, November 25 — According to Cointelegraph, Pump.fun has recently faced community criticism over users broadcasting violent and harmful behaviors via livestreams, sparking calls for stronger content moderation or disabling the livestream feature altogether. One user threatened self-harm if their token failed to reach a market capitalization target; others have made threats of domestic violence and even school shootings, prompting community members to declare the feature "completely out of control."
Alon, the platform's lead, responded stating that Pump.fun has assigned a team to monitor livestreams, images, and comments around the clock, actively addressing scaling demands. However, community members are urging the platform to suspend the livestream function until more robust moderation tools are in place, along with implementing more transparent measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
