TechFlow reported on November 24 that, according to Crypto Briefing, SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda, in an interview with Fox Business, expressed support for establishing safe harbors and regulatory sandboxes in the cryptocurrency sector to foster innovation.
As a potential candidate for SEC Chair under a Trump administration, Uyeda emphasized the need to end the so-called "crypto wars" and create clearer regulatory frameworks. He pointed out that "many crypto assets are not actually securities, yet they are being labeled as such." He stressed the importance of collaboration among Congress, the White House, and regulatory agencies in building a comprehensive regulatory framework.
