TechFlow news — On November 22, according to Beincrypto, MetaMask announced the launch of its new Gas Station feature, allowing users to swap tokens without holding ETH to pay gas fees. The feature is now live on the Ethereum mainnet for MetaMask browser extension users, with the mobile version rolling out soon.
The Gas Station feature eliminates the time-consuming step of purchasing ETH on a centralized exchange and transferring it to a self-custody wallet by directly integrating network fees into the swap quote. Powered by MetaMask’s smart trading system, the feature optimizes gas usage and ensures reliable transaction execution.
Currently supported tokens include major ones such as USDT, USDC, DAI, ETH, wETH, and wBTC.
