TechFlow reports, on November 22, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin launched a bug bounty program for the Sublinear Staking Contract on the Bountycaster platform, offering a total reward of 2 ETH. The initiative aims to identify potential vulnerabilities in the contract and solicit concrete fixes, with rewards distributed across multiple issues based on severity.
The sublinear staking contract allows whitelisted users (designated via an ERC1155 collection) to stake N tokens and receive a return of N raised to the power of 0.75 per slot. The contract includes a "fundedUntil" mechanism, ensuring that when funds are depleted, stakers still receive all rewards accrued up to the "fundedUntil" timestamp, thus preventing a fractional reserve state.
