TechFlow reports, on November 18, according to CoinDesk, citing sources close to the matter, Cyber Fund—co-founded by Lido co-founders Konstantin Lomashuk and Vasiliy Shapovalov—is preparing a blockchain identity verification platform codenamed "Y," positioning it as a direct competitor to Sam Altman's World Network.
Unlike World Network, which uses iris scanning for identity verification, Project Y will verify users based on their social media and blockchain activity data, combined with the Ethereum Attestation Service. This approach aims to address risks of biometric data breaches and minimize potential fraud.
