Polling stations opened progressively across more than 20 states, including the three key battleground states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia. The complete list includes:
Alabama, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Due to time zone differences or local regulations, some states have varying opening times. For example, parts of Alabama and Florida will open their polling stations at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Massachusetts allows towns to decide independently, with some opening as early as 5:45 a.m. Eastern Time. Tennessee requires areas with populations exceeding 120,000 to open polling stations before 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
