TechFlow News, November 5 — According to CNN, senior advisers to Donald Trump expressed cautious optimism about his performance in this year's U.S. presidential election. Advisers said turnout would be the decisive factor in determining the outcome.
"We believe that if all voters expected to support President Trump actually show up to vote, he will win," said one senior adviser. "So achieving that is critical. The race is extremely close." The adviser emphasized that, although it may sound cliché, turnout is currently their sole focus.
The Trump campaign believes this election cycle represents Trump’s strongest performance to date, especially when compared to polling data from 2016 and 2020. For instance, they noted that NBC News/The Wall Street Journal’s final pre-election poll in 2020 showed Joe Biden leading Trump by 10 percentage points among registered voters.
However, Trump advisers and confidants privately acknowledged concerns over a potential issue: there may be fewer "silent" Trump supporters this time around compared to 2016 and 2020. One Trump ally stated, "Unlike in previous elections—particularly in 2016—many people kept their voting intentions private, which wasn’t always reflected in the data. It remains unclear whether we’ll see a similar discrepancy this time."
