TechFlow reported on November 4 that Changpeng Zhao (CZ) responded on social platform X to the controversy surrounding exchange listing fees. Earlier reports indicated that Justin Sun stated Binance did not charge TRON a listing fee, but Coinbase had requested 500 million TRX tokens (approximately $80 million) and a $250 million Bitcoin custody deposit.
In response, CZ commented: "Thanks for the support—recognition from someone running two competing exchanges. But we should work to reduce such 'reference attacks' in the industry. Bitcoin has never paid any listing fees. We should focus on the projects themselves, not the exchanges."
