TechFlow news — On November 1, the ZetaChain status page was updated stating: "The cause of the network disruption has been identified as a recent update rolled out to some validators, which triggered a consensus failure. We believe we have pinpointed the root cause of this consensus issue and will provide a more detailed root cause analysis after reproducing the problem on a development network. Our top priority right now is restoring normal network operations. We have rolled back our managed validators to node software version v20.0.5 and are asking community members to do the same. The majority of the community has already completed this step, with approximately 60% of validators now running the correct software version. A minority of validators who attempted to run the problematic version (v20.0.6) are unable to participate in voting and are currently resyncing from a snapshot. Once these remaining validators complete synchronization, we expect the network to resume normal operations. We will provide another update in 60 minutes and hope to have the network restored by then."
Previously, the ZetaChain mainnet halted block production, with the latest transaction stuck at block 5,529,896. The ZetaChain status page indicated that the team is investigating an issue on the Zetachain mainnet that has caused block production to stop. Engineers are troubleshooting the problem and actively working to restore network consensus.
