TechFlow news, October 31 — According to Cointelegraph, Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy, shared false information regarding Donald Trump's cryptocurrency policy to his 3.6 million followers on social platform X. The misleading post claimed that Trump supports eliminating taxes on cryptocurrency and stated, "Bitcoin is money."
Investigation reveals the misinformation originated from a post by social media account Basedkarbon on October 28. It was subsequently amplified by several prominent cryptocurrency accounts, including Kraken exchange and Bitcoin Archive. While Trump recently expressed support for eliminating federal income tax during an interview with Joe Rogan, he did not mention digital assets.
