TechFlow news, October 30 — According to Cointelegraph, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has released a new research report forecasting significant growth in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization over the next five years, with assets under management projected to exceed $60 billion by 2030. BCG refers to RWA tokenization as the "third revolution in asset management."
David Chan, Managing Director and Partner at BCG, said demand from investors for tokenized funds is on the rise. The report, co-authored by Aptos Labs and Invesco, estimates that assets managed by tokenized funds could reach 1% of the total assets under management of global mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) within just seven years.
In addition, the report highlights that bonds, due to their structural characteristics, are ideally suited for issuance on blockchains and are expected to lead the mass adoption of tokenized real-world assets.
