TechFlow, October 30 — Jason Choi, co-founder of Tangent and former partner at Spartan, said on X that dogmatism is a fatal weakness for many otherwise outstanding founders in the crypto space.
Statements like "developers should want this" or "users should need this" are dangerous. Consider how many public blockchains had founders confidently touting their unique trade-offs, yet ultimately attracted no users. Likewise, consider DeFi products that target traditional financial services with large market sizes but remain unappealing within the crypto world.
The line between being a pioneer and being out of touch is often blurry. There's no shortcut to avoiding this—founders must engage directly with users on the front lines.
