TechFlow reported on October 29, according to Cryptonews, that Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen said in a recent CNBC interview he believes Vice President Kamala Harris could be the key figure in correcting the Biden administration's missteps on cryptocurrency policy. Larsen has recently donated XRP worth $10 million to Harris's campaign, making him one of the largest political donors from the crypto industry in this election cycle.
Larsen sharply criticized current SEC Chair Gary Gensler, calling him "the worst public servant in America." He pointed out that Gensler’s preference for enforcement actions over providing clear regulatory guidance has created significant uncertainty within the industry. According to data from a civic organization, the cryptocurrency industry has already spent over $119 million on political activities in hopes of influencing regulatory decisions.
