TechFlow news, October 26 — According to Axios, two sources familiar with the matter said that Israel began launching attacks on Iran early Saturday local time, in retaliation for Iran's large-scale ballistic missile attack on October 1.
Iranian state television reported explosions in several areas including Tehran. U.S. and Israeli officials believe Iran will respond militarily but hope its response will be limited, breaking the cycle of tit-for-tat escalation between the two adversaries.
In anticipation of Israel’s possible strike against Iran, the U.S. military has increased its troop presence in the region over recent weeks. U.S. officials said the move aims to deter Iran from responding and to assist Israel in defending against another round of missile attacks. (Jinshi)
