TechFlow news, October 25 — According to Decrypt, U.S. Representative French Hill (R-AR) said in an interview with the Thinking Crypto podcast that the SEC should have new leadership next year, regardless of which party controls the White House.
Hill criticized SEC Chairman Gary Gensler’s regulatory policies, calling them unconstitutional and an abuse of power, and suggested implementing exemption policies for emerging industries such as cryptocurrency.
Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple Labs, also predicted that Gensler will step down after the upcoming presidential election, regardless of the outcome.
