TechFlow news, October 23 — According to CNBC, Circle's head of global policy, Dante Disparte, said he believes the UK will soon introduce legislation on stablecoins—cryptocurrencies designed to maintain a fixed peg to government-issued currencies such as the U.S. dollar or British pound. Speaking to CNBC during a visit to London last week, Disparte stated, "I think we are months away, not years, from the formal launch of stablecoin market regulations." When contacted by CNBC, both the UK Treasury and the Bank of England declined to comment.
