TechFlow reports, on October 20, community user superthing.eth posted on X platform stating that two years ago, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin suggested ENS domains should charge recurring fees based on demand, where the annual cost of maintaining a domain reflects market demand, and expressed interest in knowing whether Vitalik Buterin now has any new thoughts. In response, Vitalik Buterin said he still believes charging recurring fees for ENS domains based on demand is a good idea, especially the censored version.
