I think the solution will emerge when @NoahCitron's Helios (or an alternative) creates a convenient JavaScript library that wallets can easily import. Additionally, moving L2 configurations on-chain is crucial, as this would allow lightweight client state proof verification to become part of the configuration, enabling universal L2 lightweight clients."
