TechFlow reports that on October 18, Craig Wright launched a new lawsuit claiming that Bitcoin developers have deviated from the project's original vision and asserting that Bitcoin SV is the true Bitcoin. The lawsuit demands compensation from the defendants for the market valuation difference between the two coins, amounting to over $1.18 billion. Wright previously claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s creator, but ultimately lost that legal battle. This lawsuit alleges that the defendants "altered the original Bitcoin protocol" by introducing the SegWit and Taproot upgrades, thereby "misleading the public into believing BTC retained the properties of the original Bitcoin." Companies named in the suit include Bitcoin Core, the developer of Bitcoin node software, and Jack Dorsey's Square Up Europe Limited, a payment service company funding Bitcoin's Lightning Network firms.
