TechFlow reports on October 17 that Surge, a Bitcoin protocol layer project, announced the completion of an $1.8 million Pre-Seed funding round. The round was backed by Autonomy, Gerstenbrot Capital, Double Peak Group, Sats Ventures, Vamient Capital, Samara AG, and angel investors including Rushi Manche from Movement Labs, Bobby Ong, co-founder of CoinGecko, and TM Lee.
Surge is a modular Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) platform for the Bitcoin ecosystem. It provides a platform to launch high-performance, customizable, general-purpose or application-specific rollups on Bitcoin, significantly reducing their time-to-market.
