TechFlow reported on October 16 that, according to Decrypt, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced the launch of restaking services on the Ethereum protocol EigenLayer for non-U.S. users. This service allows users to restake their already staked ETH on EigenLayer to earn additional yields.
Mark Greenberg, Kraken's Head of Global Asset Growth, said the move aims to lower the entry barrier for investors, making restaking more accessible to a broader customer base. Kraken’s subsidiary, Staked, will serve as the validator for ETH restaking. Users can choose to hold their restaking rewards on the Kraken platform or convert them into fiat currency or other cryptocurrencies.
