TechFlow news, October 16 — According to Bloomberg, recent filings from the U.S. Federal Election Commission (FEC) show that Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, co-founders of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), each donated $2.5 million to a pro-Trump super political action committee.
The two founders announced their support for Trump in July 2024 but had not previously disclosed which Trump-aligned organizations they backed. In addition to the above donations, Andreessen also contributed $844,600—reaching the federal limit—to Trump’s campaign and the Republican Party.
