TechFlow news, October 15 — According to Cointelegraph, after Uniswap previously announced that the Unichain mainnet is set to launch later this year, scammers have taken the opportunity to run fraudulent websites through Google Ads.
Blockchain analysis platform Scam Sniffer reported that the attackers created a fake website closely resembling the official Unichain site and used paid Google ads to place it at the top of search results. Although the ad displayed the legitimate Unichain website URL, clicking it redirected users to the fraudulent site. Once users connected their wallets, the site continuously sent transaction requests in an attempt to drain their crypto assets.
