TechFlow reports, on October 11, according to on-chain analyst Yujin's monitoring, an address marked by Arkham as likely belonging to Continue Capital was compromised via phishing attack 7 hours ago, resulting in a loss of 15,079 fwDETH (worth $35.98 million).
Subsequently, the attacker attempted to quickly convert the stolen assets into safer ones by directly swapping DETH back to ETH. However, due to insufficient liquidity in the DETH pool, only 2,288 ETH were obtained from swapping 14,079 DETH. The pool was completely drained, causing severe de-pegging of DETH/WETH.
The value of the stolen assets shrank by 85%: from $35.98 million down to $5.5 million.
