TechFlow news, on October 10, according to Bitcoin.comNews, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio announced that six members of a Texas-based darknet drug group called "Loverbois" have been sentenced. Between July 2019 and December 2020, the group processed an average of 20 orders per day via the dark web, distributing nearly 12 kilograms of methamphetamine disguised as Adderall, and laundered between $15,000 and $50,000 in cryptocurrency each month.
Court documents show that Phung was responsible for creating and managing the "Loverbois" accounts, while John Dang handled packaging and money laundering. Following a joint investigation by the FBI, DEA, and U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the six members received sentences ranging from probation to 84 months in prison.
