TechFlow News, October 9 — According to CoinPedia, U.S. billionaire investor Tim Draper recently shared his cryptocurrency portfolio on the Thinking Crypto podcast, including projects such as Arkham, Tezos, Bancor, and Handshake.
Draper said his fund has made a significant investment in blockchain analytics firm Arkham, citing admiration for Arkham's innovative team—particularly its technology linking Bitcoin wallets to real-world identities, which has drawn interest from institutions like the U.S. Marshals Service. Regarding Tezos, Draper highlighted its strengths in governance and formal verification, viewing it as a reliable option for projects requiring secure and scalable solutions. He has also invested in the decentralized liquidity network Bancor, believing it plays a vital role in the DeFi ecosystem.
Draper emphasized that understanding a token’s utility is essential before approving any investment. He believes tokens should have real-world use cases rather than serve merely as speculative instruments. He sees smart contracts as the future of investing and commercial transactions, capable of automating complex agreements, improving transaction efficiency, and reducing disputes. Draper envisions major uses of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies spanning retail payments, investment, and business operations. He believes investors will be able to use Bitcoin to invest in companies via smart contracts, enabling dynamic negotiations and clear enforcement of terms.
