TechFlow reports, on October 8, according to DL News, prediction markets on Polymarket have become unusually active ahead of an upcoming HBO documentary that may reveal the identity of Bitcoin's founder. Nick Szabo has now overtaken Len Sassaman as the frontrunner most likely to be revealed as Satoshi Nakamoto.
In the Polymarket prediction pool totaling $15.92 million, 60-year-old computer scientist and cryptographer Nick Szabo has risen to first place with a current probability of 12.8%. Previously leading candidate Len Sassaman has dropped to 7.5%, primarily because his widow, Meredith Patterson, told DL News that Sassaman was not Satoshi Nakamoto. Additionally, after Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream, clarified and denied being Satoshi, his odds fell to 6.3%.
