TechFlow reports that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin posted on Farcaster saying perhaps developers should recognize that 32 ETH is a higher barrier for validators than bandwidth requirements, and maybe slightly increase the bandwidth requirement in exchange for lowering the minimum staking deposit to, say, 16 or 24 ETH. This would benefit both staking accessibility and scalability. Then, once Ethereum is ready for the peerdas upgrade, bandwidth requirements will drop, and after implementing orbit SSF, the minimum deposit could be reduced to 1 ETH.
