TechFlow news: According to an official announcement, the U.S. SEC announced today that Gurbir S. Grewal, Director of the Division of Enforcement, will depart on October 11, 2024.
Following Mr. Grewal's departure, Sanjay Wadhwa, Deputy Director of the Division of Enforcement, will serve as Acting Director, and Sam Waldon, Chief Counsel of the Division of Enforcement, will serve as Acting Deputy Director.
SEC Chair Gary Gensler stated: "We were fortunate to have an exceptional public servant like Gurbir Grewal join the SEC and lead our Division of Enforcement over the past three years. He thought every day about how best to protect investors and helped ensure market participants comply with time-tested securities laws. Under his leadership, the Division has consistently acted fearlessly, following facts and the law without bias. I have truly enjoyed working with him and wish him well in all his future endeavors."
