TechFlow news, September 30 — According to Coindesk, OpenPayd, a banking-as-a-service (BaaS) platform, announced on Tuesday that it has brought in two senior executives from cryptocurrency brokerage firm FalconX. Lux Thiagarajah and Richard Usher will officially join the company's London office on October 1. Thiagarajah will serve as Director of Growth, while Usher will take on the role of Trading Director. Notably, both individuals will continue to maintain advisory roles at FalconX to support its expansion into foreign exchange trading.
Both newly appointed executives bring extensive experience in foreign exchange trading. Thiagarajah previously served as Head of Commercial FX at FalconX, and before that was Chief Revenue Officer at crypto payments firm BCB Group, with prior experience at investment banks including JPMorgan and HSBC. Usher formerly served as Head of FX Trading at FalconX and oversaw over-the-counter trading at BCB, also having worked at JPMorgan and Royal Bank of Scotland.
