TechFlow reports that decentralized derivatives trading platform dYdX has announced it will shut down its v3 version on October 28, 2024 at 20:05 (Beijing time). The v3 exchange will remain fully operational until the shutdown date, but users are advised to close their positions and withdraw USDC as soon as possible. After October 30, users will be able to withdraw the full USDC value of their accounts—including outstanding positions—directly from Ethereum smart contracts. dYdX emphasizes that user funds remain secure and can be withdrawn from the smart contracts indefinitely.
The shutdown affects only v3 users; dYdX Chain (v4) is unaffected. dYdX stated this move aims to consolidate resources toward developing the upcoming Unlimited version, set to launch this fall. The platform will continue to provide read-only historical data via API for at least one year after shutdown.
