TechFlow News, the WalletConnect Foundation has announced details of its Connect Token (WCT) airdrop program. Registration for Season 1 will be open from September 24 to October 18, 2024. Participants must register on the official website and connect at least one Ethereum wallet address. Eligible users can check their qualification status on November 2024 Beijing time, with specific claim timelines to be announced later. The WCT token is scheduled to launch in 2024, although transfer functionality will be enabled at a later date.
Airdrop eligibility will be assessed based on user activities (network connections, signatures, and on-chain activity) and contributor activities (open-source contributions to the WalletConnect network).
Notably, WCT is a core component of the WalletConnect network, designed to advance the ecosystem of on-chain user experiences. A total of 18.5% (185 million WCT) of the initial token supply will be allocated for airdrops, with 5% (50 million WCT) distributed during Season 1.
