TechFlow news, according to The New York Times citing sources familiar with the matter, rapper Sean Combs is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, sharing the same unit as Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), who was convicted of fraud.
Combs has been held there since being charged last week with alleged racketeering and sex trafficking. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His lawyers proposed a $50 million bail with 24-hour monitoring, but the judge rejected the request.
SBF has been detained at MDC since August last year, after his bail was revoked for violating its conditions. SBF's legal team previously complained about limited internet access and restricted meals while in prison. SBF was sentenced to 25 years in prison for misappropriating customer funds from the FTX exchange and is currently awaiting appeal. MDC also holds other high-profile individuals, including the former president of Honduras and the former Mexican secretary of public security.
