Powell previously served as Chief Compliance Officer at crypto payments firm BCB Group. Her LinkedIn profile shows that her career began at the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), followed by positions at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Barclays Capital. This appointment signals Kraken's efforts to strengthen its compliance team amid an increasingly stringent regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies.
