TechFlow news: On September 20, according to official announcements, Polygon Labs revealed that the Polygon zkEVM mainnet testnet will undergo a major upgrade called "Eggfruit" on September 30. This upgrade introduces the cdk-erigon sequencer developed by Gateway, the team behind the Ethereum Erigon client, aiming to provide developers with a more stable and high-performance execution environment.
The Eggfruit upgrade went live on the testnet today (September 20, 2024), and will be deployed on the mainnet testnet after a 10-day lock period, at 18:30 (Beijing time) on September 30, with an estimated maintenance window of approximately 2 hours.
