TechFlow news: Cosmos Hub has announced that Hydro will officially launch in October 2024, bringing additional rewards for ATOM holders. Users will receive these rewards without needing to unstake, as Hydro's "contribution rewards" will be distributed on top of the existing staking annual yield.
The Hydro system workflow includes: converting staked ATOM into LSM shares, transferring the LSM shares to Neutron and locking them in Hydro to gain voting power. A user’s reward share depends on their voting weight in a proposal. Each voting round allows users to support one project per category, with votes changeable at any time before the round ends, while maintaining their original staking rewards.
