TechFlow reported on September 18 that, according to CoinDesk, investment management firm Borderless Capital has announced the launch of its third Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) fund, totaling $100 million. The fund received investments from DePIN-focused blockchain project peaq, Solana Foundation, and Jump Crypto, among others.
DePIN refers to physical infrastructure networks built using blockchain technology and token incentives, allowing other projects to access and utilize infrastructure without purchasing or operating their own equipment. "DePIN will become the global standard for deploying physical infrastructure and coordinating human resources, while providing users with lower costs and easier access," said Alvaro Gracia, partner at Borderless Capital.
