TechFlow news: Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the twin founders of cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, announced that their father, Howard Winklevoss, has donated $4 million worth of Bitcoin to his alma mater, Grove City College. This marks the first time the college has received a donation in Bitcoin and will be used to fund new business programs.
Howard Winklevoss first invested in Bitcoin in 2013, describing it as "a non-governmental digital currency with a fixed supply—in short, sound money that operates like email."
Tyler Winklevoss said their father's educational experience at Grove City College profoundly influenced the brothers' understanding of Bitcoin. Grove City College will hold a ceremony in November to officially name its business school the "Winklevoss School of Business."
