TechFlow news, EigenLayer has announced the upcoming launch of a new protocol feature "Programmatic Incentives v1." Starting October 2024, this feature will distribute newly minted EIGEN tokens weekly to eligible stakers and the operators they delegate to. These incentives will be retroactively calculated based on staking activity since August 15, 2024.
In the first year, Programmatic Incentives v1 will distribute approximately 66,945,866 EIGEN tokens, equivalent to 4% of the initial EIGEN token supply (approximately 1,673,646,668 tokens). Of this, 3% will be allocated to ETH and LST stakers and operators, and 1% to EIGEN stakers and operators.
To qualify for programmatic incentives, operators must have registered at least one AVS, and stakers must delegate to an operator that has registered at least one AVS.
Programmatic rewards will become claimable every Wednesday at 3:00 AM Beijing time.
