TechFlow reports, according to CryptoSlate, Sony's Ethereum Layer-2 network Soneium announced on September 12 its participation in Chainlink's Scale program. This collaboration will provide Chainlink's data feeds to Soneium's Minato testnet and adopt Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as its standard cross-chain infrastructure.
Chainlink's data feeds deliver decentralized off-chain data to smart contracts, making them particularly suitable for DeFi applications. CCIP will enable seamless interoperability between Soneium and other blockchains, facilitating the integration of Web3 with traditional systems. Over the past year, CCIP technology has been adopted by several traditional institutions, including South Korean gaming giant Wemade.
Soneium stated: "Leveraging Chainlink's proven infrastructure—supporting over $15 trillion in transaction value—we ensure that Soneium Minato can handle high traffic, support complex applications, and deliver a smooth onboarding experience for all users."
